‘Viksit Amritsar Investment (VAI)’ is an investment initiative formed by a group of US citizens and permanent residents from different professional backgrounds. VAI is grateful for the partnership offered by USISPF and FICCI.

The help VAI aims to provide to the Entrepreneurs in Amritsar will include mentorship & access of up-to $100 M of capital to get their socially & environmentally responsible start-ups to succeed. Such entrepreneurs could be in the fields of Farming & Agriculture, Industry & Commerce, Skill development, Information Technology, Health Care, Tourism, Home building etc. – essentially anything that allows an entrepreneur especially women & youth to thrive in Amritsar. All investments will be approved by VAI’s highly respected investment committee, which is made up of VAI’s investors and independent advisors.

Next steps: This is the first important step in the process: ‘Good & successful people committing their time and resources to help those who need support just like we did just a few decades ago’. Next, we will finalize our legal and business structures that would allow transnational investments in the coming months. However, we do have some good news, applications for investment are being considered for execution within the next few weeks through our existing partners in India. We also here want to underline that ‘Viksit Amritsar Investments (VAI)’ is not a charity. This fund is to allow investments in socially responsible & fiscally viable projects that will help entrepreneurs of different fields to economically grow and develop Amritsar, making Bharat proud!!
